Safety At Weekday Nursery School

At Weekday Nursery School, the safety and well-being of our children, families, and staff are our top priorities. We are committed to providing a secure and nurturing environment where children can learn, play, and grow safely each day. Our school follows established safety procedures, including supervised arrival and dismissal, controlled building access, and clear emergency protocols. By working together with our families, we ensure our school remains a safe and welcoming place for every child.

Parking Lot Safety Guidelines

The safety of our families and staff begins in the parking lot. To ensure everyone’s safety, all drivers must follow the posted traffic patterns and parking procedures.

Please remember the following:

  • The driveway is ONE WAY ONLY.
  • Do not enter through the EXIT driveway.
  • Drive slowly and remain alert for children and families walking to and from the building.
  • Always hold your child’s hand in the parking lot.
  • Park only in designated parking spaces.
  • Follow all instructions given by school staff regarding arrival and dismissal procedures.

Building Security

  • Entry to the school is monitored during the school day.
  • Staff supervise arrival and dismissal times.
  • Only authorized adults may pick up children.

Arrival and Dismissal

  • Children must be signed in and out each day.
  • Visitors must check in with the school office before entering classrooms.
  • Parents must notify the school if someone new will be picking up their child.

Emergency Preparedness

Our school maintains procedures for emergencies and practices safety drills throughout the year.

These include:

  • Fire drills
  • Lockdown drills
  • Emergency evacuation procedures

Staff members are trained to respond calmly and effectively in the event of an emergency.

Health and Safety

We follow health and sanitation practices to maintain a clean and healthy environment for children, including regular cleaning of classrooms and toys.

Outdoor and Playground Safety

Children are always supervised during outdoor play. Our playground equipment and outdoor areas are regularly inspected to ensure they remain safe for use. The playground is fully fenced and equipped with child safety latches. Cameras are installed both inside and outside the school for added security.

Our Commitment to Safety

At Weekday Nursery School, we believe that children learn best in an environment where they feel safe, secure, and supported. The safety of our students, staff, and families is a responsibility we take very seriously.

We maintain safety procedures designed to protect everyone in our school community and regularly review them to ensure they remain effective.

Working Together

Maintaining a safe school environment requires the cooperation of staff, families, and visitors. By following school safety procedures and remaining attentive, we can ensure that Weekday Nursery School remains a safe and happy place for every child.
